Track Name: what is done is done
i did what i could, i mean, didn't i give it all that i had?
but try and try as i might, i could never get it back.
there were so many things that i wanted to be and just look at what i am. what is done is done. what is done is done is gone.

what is done is done. what is done is done is gone.

we do what we can and don't we now that we know it all will end? but if that's the way it's always been anyhow, how come i didn't see it then? when there were so many things that we wanted to be, you'd better take a good look at what you are. because when you're done, you're done. when you're done, you're done, you're gone.

what is done is done. what is done is done is gone.

the past is only present in your mind.
when you can't get it back, you've got to leave it behind.
Track Name: overstated
we all are going to die at some point down the line.
we call that god, and say he decides.
and we frame out our lives with some pointless talk of time
as if he might bat an eye. (he won't).

there are places that you can go,
hundreds of potential homes and yet here you are now.
there are many things that you may want,
there are many ways to know god and life is trying with or without.

she plagues my every waking thought
with what i was and what i am not.
she said, "you're headed down a path i never wanted on."

and:

"it don't matter now what you've been or been about.
you're just an overstayed tramp in a transient town."
Track Name: carbon taxing
when we have outgrown our present use,
they will grind our bones into babies' food.
one day they will make all of this matter.
one day they will make all of this matter by carbon taxing graves.

til then we will clap our hands in grateful audience.
til then we will clap our hands.

singing, "let's all go to universities.
get great big heads to justify our plans.
and let's all work for the company,
and put in our time until profits are high.
yea, let's all raise happy families,
teach em to lie to themselves just like we've had to."

til then we will flap our tongues like idiots.
til then we will flap our tongues.

saying, "let's all pretend that it's permanent,
though everything dies, everything ends."

because when we've outgrown our present use,
they will grind our bones into babies' food.
one day they will make all of this matter.
one day they will make all of this matter
by carbon taxing graves.
